US DOT Size Requirements
US DOT, MC & all regulation numbers should be minimum of 2” inches in height with a visibility of at least 50 feet away. The lettering should contrast with the color of the vehicle. If your vehicle is white, then go for a dark color. If your vehicle is black, go for a light color. It is important for your lettering to be clearly visible for US Department of Transportation Inspectors or whenever you’re pulled over by authorities.
